TAP Air Portugal is to fly from 31 March 2019 twice daily between its Lisbon hub and Basel-Mulhouse Airport.
The airport is located in the trinational region of Switzerland, France and Germany, and serves the most populous and economically powerful area between Basel, Mulhouse and Freiburg.
Modern Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft will be used on the new route. The service will depart from EuroAirport at 11.05h and at 20.15h, returning from Lisbon at 06.40h. and 15.50h.
With the expansion of its route network, the number of airports served by TAP Air Portugal increases to 91 destinations in 88 cities in 36 countries, with more to follow in 2019.
TAP Air Portugal chief executive officer, Antonoaldo Neves said the route is “further important step in the company’s strong strategic growth of recent years, which it will continue to pursue in the future”.
EuroAirport director, Matthias Suhr said: “TAP Air Portugal is a brand new airline at EuroAirport. The Lisbon connection adds a new hub to our existing network. Passengers enjoy convenient connections, especially to Brazil and other destinations in Africa and North America.”
