Sonia Jerez Burdeus to take over as CFO of Volaris

Ultra-low-cost carrier Volaris which serves Mexico, the United States and Central America has appointed Sonia Jerez Burdeus as chief financial officer (CFO) effective as of 7 January, 2019.

She will reporting directly to the carrier’s president and chief executive officer, Enrique Beltranena Mejicano. Burdeus previously worked as CFO of low-cost European airlines Vueling and Wizz Air.

Beltranena said: “Volaris adds Sonia Jerez to its management team. Jerez will oversee every aspect of corporate finance, and with her extensive experience in the sector, will contribute to the strengthening of the administration and finance functions of the company and our commitment to creating value for our shareholders.”
