Havas hails success of collaboration with airBaltic as carrier named Europe’s most punctual

Ground handler Havas said it is “glad to contribute” to the success of airBaltic which has retained the accolade as Europe’s most punctual airline in 2018 according to UK aviation research company OAG.

The Turkish handler provides services at Riga Airport for the carrier which OAG revealed in its Punctuality League Report topped the on-time performance (OTP) ranking with 89.17 per cent punctuality.

Havas general manager, Kursad Kocak said: “We have been providing full-fledged ground handling services to airBaltic, the flag carrier airline of Latvia and the most significant airline company in the airport, since we have started our operations at Riga Airport in 2010.

“We attach utmost importance to sustainable service quality, safety and on-time performance in our operation chain. As a result of this approach, we are glad to contribute to the success of airBaltic, in being selected as the most punctual airline in Europe and topping the on-time global performance ranking for the past five consecutive years.

airBaltic was also ranked as the second most punctual in the world by OAG, which tracked the performance of over 58 million flight records in the survey for 2018.

Chief executive officer, Martin Gauss said: “Being the most punctual airline in Europe is a true recognition of the great job our team is doing every day. In 2018, we had another record year, while still improving the excellent service and world leading punctuality. This shows that our passengers can rely on us.”
