Laudamotion aborts flight at Stansted, eight passengers injured

A Laudamotion Airbus A320 aircraft aborted its take-off at London Stansted Airport on Friday (1 March) night at about 20.00h and eight passengers were injured in the incident.

Sky News reports that fliers heard a “big bang” which rocked the cabin. There was 169 people on board the aircraft and all passengers were evacuated via emergency slides.

An airport spokesperson said that the A320 was heading for Vienna.

All flights were grounded for around three hours at the UK gateway and the runway at London Stansted reopened just after 22:40h.
