Aircraft lessor Goshawk Aviation has placed orders with Boeing and Airbus on the first day of the Farnborough International Airshow today.
This included 20 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, valued at $2.3 billion at current list prices, and was the first time it had purchased aircraft directly from Boeing. Deliveries are expected to start in 2023.
Chairman, Brian Cheng said: “Placing direct order is a critical part of Goshawk’s overall growth strategy and we are pleased to have finalised our oder with Boeing.”
Along with the Boeing order, Goshawk placed an order with Airbus for 20 A320neo, which has a single order book list price of $110.6 million.
The company is a 50/50 joint venture between Hong Kong-based NWS Holdings Limited and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and now has an owned, managed and committed fleet of over 220 aircraft.
