Following the latest travel announcement from government Antony Marke, Group Managing Director at ABM Aviation commented:
“The updated list of ‘green’ countries announced this evening is a further demonstration that the UK government is increasingly ready to reopen the travel industry.
“While this is fantastic news for our industry, we must ensure that the reopening is implemented with robust precautions in place to protect passengers.
“As one of the UK’s leading providers of aviation services, we have faced unprecedented challenges over the past 12 months.
“However, with a talent pool of incredible people, we have managed to stay operational and gain knowledge and understanding into new safety measures.
“With a safety-first mentality ‘Think Safe, Act Safe, Be Safe’, we have introduced new measures into our business to protect and reassure our team members and passengers.
“These include daily antimicrobial fogging in all work areas, a voluntary vaccine register for team members to share their vaccine progress, testing kits to ensure our team can work with reassurance and confidence and regular townhall meetings to stay up to date with latest guidelines and information, which is shared across our teams in the UK and Ireland.
“As we look ahead, we are focused on supporting the recovery of the UK economy and the aviation sector.
“All of the work that we have been doing throughout the pandemic perfectly positions us as a partner of confidence and safety and we can’t wait to get back to doing what we love.”
