Accelya shows further NDC momentum with more than 50% of 2022 global NDC transactions and Black Friday seeing year-over-year doubling

Accelya, a leading global software provider to the airline industry shared strong NDC momentum today, with T2RL an independent consultancy leader in travel technology and distribution strategy, sharing that Accelya is the leading provider for enabling NDC with more than 50 per cent of transactions based on total passenger numbers for 2022.

The software provider also announced that it has recorded a 100 per cent year-over-year growth in its NDC volumes over the Black Friday to Cyber Monday period, driven by strong customer adoption.

Accelya’s NDC technologies allow pioneering airlines to take control of their retailing, modernise their distribution, personalise offers and grow ancillary sales without using restrictive, legacy technology that often inhibits innovation and customer experience.

Sam Gilliland, CEO of Accelya, said: “NDC is here and delivering real business impact for pioneering airlines. Accelya is a partner that knows how to collaborate with airlines to drive adoption, and we are not burdened by legacy, restrictive technology and business models.

“We are excited with the momentum we are seeing for our customers and the industry. NDC is the foundation of the modern retailing journey for airlines as they look to ONE Order, and Accelya are proud to be leading the way.”

Long-term Accelya customer AEGEAN also delivered record volumes for NDC sales during the Black Friday period.

Christos Komplis, head of distribution at AEGEAN, said: “We are delighted with the partnership we have with Accelya and how they power our retailing with their NDC capabilities.

“We saw strong performance over Black Friday with the Accelya platform delivering record NDC volumes. It is a partnership that gives us confidence.”

Recent long-term extensions announced with American Airlines, United and Qantas, further demonstrate Accelya’s leading position in the market for NDC enablement.
