African states launch singular aviation market to boost economic growth

Twenty-three states in Africa have launched a single aviation market in order to boost economic growth in the continent.

Africa is regarded by some as having poor infrastructure, especially in regards to aviation, so the launch of one market would be a welcome introduction to problems facing the development of aviation in Africa.

Connectivity, fare reduction and economic growth stimulation are all on the agenda for the single market.

The new market aims to replicate Europe’s Open Skies Agreement.
