Indian expatriates in Oman have been left frustrated as Air India Express announced the cancellation of 14 flights from Muscat International Airport.

The cancellations, which will take effect between 9 and 24 February 2025, affect routes to major Indian cities, including Chennai (Madras), Tiruchirappalli, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The airline attributed the disruption to operational reasons but did not provide further details on the specific cause.

The decision is expected to impact many travellers, particularly members of Oman’s large Indian community who rely on these routes for business and personal travel.

Passengers booked on the affected flights are advised to check with the airline for rebooking options or alternative travel arrangements.
