Air Italy has appointed Rossen Dimitrov as chief operating officer (COO) with immediate effect after promoting him from chief experience officer – a position he has held since April.
This follows the departure of COO Neil Mills, who left the company due to personal reasons.
Dimitrov will have the role of coordinating and directing all the functions of the airline under the guidance of the board, while still maintaining the direct responsibility for the customer experience.
Air Italy deputy chairman, Marco Rigotti said: “I will be very pleased to fully support Rossen in this new role. Thanks to his proven experience in leading large teams across a variety of disciplines, he will manage a renewed organization, focused on the ambitious goals that the company aims to achieve while entering into a more mature phase of this project.
“Rossen has already shown during his tenure his proven ability in driving change inside the organization. His new appointment shows also how determined Air Italy is in making customer experience as a key priority for the ongoing growth and development.”
