The Latvian national airline, airBaltic, today announced the launch of its summer season 2024, introducing three new destinations from Tallinn.

Starting in May, airBaltic will offer new routes to Billund (Denmark), Malta and Burgas (Bulgaria).

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “Tallinn is one of airBaltic’s home cities, and we are dedicated to improving connectivity from there to offer our customers more travel options.

“The new routes to Billund, Malta, and Burgas provide passengers with the opportunity to experience a city getaway, enjoy the warmer weather, and explore nature.

“Additionally, this summer season, we are expanding airBaltic’s network in Central and Southeast Europe by adding new destinations and increasing flight frequencies to other popular European destinations, all accessible daily from Tallinn with seamless connection through our main hub in Riga.”

“We express our gratitude to our partners in Tallinn for their cooperation in making this expansion possible.

“Moreover, thanks to our increasing number of passengers, we are delighted to see that our market share at Tallinn Airport continues to grow.”

Eero Pärgmäe, Board member Tallinna Airport: “Tallinn Airport is delighted to announce airBaltic’s three new routes this summer – Billund, Burgas, and Malta.

“The airline operates 22 direct flights from Tallinn during the summer season and is the largest carrier in Tallinn.

“We are thrilled about all the routes, but today’s inaugural flight to Billund is particularly noteworthy as the most child-friendly destination.

“Billund is home to Legoland, attracting a higher-than-average number of children on this route.

“Besides providing fun for children, it promises a delightful day for adults too, as they can re-experience the joys of their childhood at Legoland.

“In Billund, visitors can also explore Lalandia, the largest water park in Scandinavia, and the charming Givskud Zoo.”

“The other two new routes in airBaltic’s network include Burgas, a resort town on the Black Sea in Bulgaria, and Malta, which offers beach vacations as well as a taste of delicious local cuisine, rich history, and vibrant culture”.
