The Latvian airline airBaltic reports an increase in its wet-lease activities in 2025, operating 30,000 ACMI flights, a 14.5% year-on-year increase.
The airline’s average ACMI fleet in operation increased to 14 aircraft, a 19% rise compared with 2024, reaching a seasonal peak of up to 20 aircraft during the summer months.
Wet-lease operations accounted for 20% of total revenue in 2025, underlining the growing role of ACMI flying alongside airBaltic’s extensive scheduled services from the Baltics, which remain the core of its business.
ACMI Capacity Offering
airBaltic continues to expand its ACMI capacity to support European airlines seeking short and long-term aircraft availability. In 2025, wet-lease operations were conducted with Lufthansa Group and other European carriers, helping airlines maintain network stability during seasonal peaks and operational constraints.
The airline remains established, offering new partnerships and flexible capacity solutions to support carriers across Europe and beyond.
ACMI flying is performed using airBaltic’s modern Airbus A220-300 fleet, combining a comfortable and fuel-efficient aircraft with experienced flight and cabin crews to deliver consistent and reliable operations. As a flexible capacity provider, airBaltic can adapt its capacity and resources to meet partners’ operational needs.
In addition, as a scheduled airline, airBaltic brings extensive experience in delivering a high-quality inflight product, ensuring an excellent passenger experience in both business and economy class.
Comprehensive Charter Services
In 2025, airBaltic also saw charter activity increase as demand broadened across multiple customer segments, supporting aircraft utilisation and contributing to overall revenue.
The carrier expanded its charter customer base during the year, reflecting sustained interest in flexible capacity outside scheduled operations.
airBaltic’s charter offering caters to businesses, tour operators, sports teams, and private groups, providing reliable capacity and flexible scheduling to meet diverse travel needs.
Each flight can be customised, from onboard products to service levels, ensuring the airline can deliver a seamless and high-quality experience to its clients.
Customised catering options are available in both economy and business class, subject to prior agreement.
