Latvia’s national airline airBaltic has reported stronger summer trading ahead of its third-quarter results, due on 5 November 2025.
Pauls Cālītis, Interim chief executive said the airline had seen “stronger commercial performance this summer, driven by adaptability to market conditions and a clear focus on yield recovery during peak season”.
Preliminary figures for July and August show year-on-year growth in revenue per available seat kilometre (RASK), supported by improved ticket yields.
The gains were achieved through targeted commercial measures, network adjustments and a stronger macroeconomic backdrop in the Baltic states.
While higher pricing led to a slight decline in load factor, airBaltic said the overall impact was positive, with RASK growth offsetting the dip.
Passenger volumes were lower than last year, reflecting reduced capacity compared with 2024.
Operations were also temporarily affected by the suspension of flights to Tel Aviv in July and August amid regional conflict, though the route was reinstated in September.
The airline said it would publish detailed financial and traffic figures when it releases its Q3 results in November.
