airBaltic sets new traffic growth record in July

Latvian airline airBaltic flew 578,340 passengers in July – 28 per cent more than the same month last year – across its growing route network.

The airline’s load factor was 86 per cent, the same as July 2018 and it operated 6,202 flights, 18 per cent more than the same month last year.

Chief executive officer, Martin Gauss said each year, July is the very peak of the airline’s summer season, and July 2019 has set a new growth record.

In the first seven months of the year from January to July, airBaltic flew 2.8 million passengers, 21 per cent more than the same period in 2018.

The load factor for the seven months fell by two percentage points to 74 per cent and it operated 35,935 flights, 13 per cent more than the same period last year.

airBaltic serves over 70 destinations from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius.
