Airbus delivered 793 commercial aircraft to airline customers around the world in 2025, a 4% increase compared with the previous year, as demand for new planes remained strong.
The European aerospace group said it recorded 1,000 gross orders from 57 customers during the year, resulting in 889 net new orders after cancellations.
The orders included 49 A220 jets, 656 aircraft from the A320 family, 100 A330neo widebody jets, two A330 MRTT aircraft and 193 A350s.
By the end of December, Airbus’s total order backlog had reached a record 8,754 aircraft. The backlog for widebody planes alone stood at 1,124 aircraft, also a new high, underlining sustained demand for long-haul aircraft.
Despite what Airbus described as a complex and challenging operating environment, deliveries continued to rise in 2025.
The company said the year saw several milestone deliveries and new airline customers taking delivery of aircraft, including the A220, A321XLR, A330neo and A350-1000 across multiple regions.
Airbus also secured repeat business from existing customers as well as new airline clients in both single-aisle and widebody markets.
The company said it achieved a healthy book-to-bill ratio above one for the year, meaning it received more orders than aircraft delivered.
Airbus said the results highlight continued strong global demand for its aircraft portfolio, despite ongoing supply chain pressures facing the aviation industry.
