Alaska Airlines has announced changes to its carry-on baggage policy in an effort to reduce traveler conflicts and match the industry standard for luggage.

The airline stated that it is reducing the size allowance of carry-on luggage to 22″ x 14″ x 9″ from 24″ x 17″ x 10″.

The allowance of items will remain the same.

Alaska Airlines is installing guides in many airports so travelers can measure their baggage to meet the new requirements.
