Atlas Air Service receives EASA approval for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft components. So far the approval covers doors (e.g. hatches, flaps), flight controls and structural components – for any aircraft type. The shop floor with an area of more than 1000 m² is located in Ganderkesee, Lower Saxony, which is the company’s place of foundation. In addition a fully certified NDT shop, a paint shop and a warehouse enable Atlas Air Service to carry out all work independently on site. Approvals for further aircraft components are in preparation.
“I am very proud of our team, which has established a completely new business unit within only six months – including the approval by the German National Aviation Authority. We will consistently add further components to our capability list upon customer request. It´s our goal to become a global spare parts supplier for overhauled aircraft components,” says Gregor Bremer, Technical Director of Atlas Air Service AG.
Atlas Air Service has turned 50 this year. Together with its subsidiary Augsburg Air Service GmbH, they have built up an European-wide reputation for the aircraft brands Embraer, Cessna and Beechcraft.
