Aviation Charity Received Support from Crawley MP

A charity set up to provide support to people in the aviation industry has received support from Henry Smith, MP for Crawley. The meeting was held on Friday along with Chris Wild, Founder of Aviation Action and Christopher Meeking, Vice Chair of the charity.

Aviation Action, a mental health and support charity for anyone in the aviation industry, has already supported hundreds of people within the industry at a time when they really need it. The charity set out to support people within aviation that have had their employment impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic or are struggling with life changes and employment uncertainty.

Henry Smith MP launched the Future of Aviation Group in May to campaign for the aviation industry. As London Gatwick falls within his constituency, he has been campaigning for the government to introduce measures in support of this vital sector’s recovery.

Henry said; “It was good to meet with Aviation Action, a concept that started last year but which is very timely now given the devastating effects COVID-19 has had on the industry. The work this vital charity does helping sector employees on issues ranging from mental health support to re-skilling is very welcome and deserving of support.”
