Azul S.A. announces today that it reached collective labor agreements with overwhelming approval from its pilot and flight attendant unions to support the Company following the COVID-19 crisis. The agreement will be in place for the next 18 months and allows the Company to have full flexibility in terms of its labor costs as it brings back its network in accordance with recovering demand.
“I would like to express my deep gratitude to our crewmembers for once again coming together to support Azul. As we have clearly laid out, our business recovery plan includes a significant contribution from all our stakeholders and today our crewmembers have stepped up. This agreement allows us to maintain jobs while at the same time reducing costs and preserving cash. We continue to work with all our stakeholders and are making great progress towards our recovery plan. We built a great Company and I am confident that we will come out of this crisis stronger than we were before,” said John Rodgerson, CEO of Azul.
