Royal Air Maroc has this week launched its first-ever direct service between London Stansted Airport and Casablanca.
The new route will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with a Boeing B737-800 aircraft.
Stansted said the move signals the “beginning of a beautiful friendship with Royal Air Maroc”.
Ciaran Brannigan, commercial director at London Stansted, said: “Of all the airports in all the towns in all the world, Royal Air Maroc chose London Stansted for its new direct service to Casablanca, a decision we are truly delighted about.
“This service will provide our passengers with more choice and convenience when travelling to North Africa, whether for business, leisure, or connecting onto the airline’s broader route network.
“Casablanca is an iconic destination, and we are confident this new route will be the beginning of beautiful friendship between Royal Air Maroc and London Stansted.”
The airport added that the new service with strengthen its route network, which now covers almost 200 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

“As a major hub for Moroccan culture and commerce, Casablanca also serves as a key gateway providing extensive connections across our global network, including Moroccan cities and West African countries.
“This new route offers added convenience with an earlier departure and expands our reach to North and East London, enhancing flexibility and connectivity within our UK network.”
