BermudAir has announced the imminent arrival of its fourth aircraft, named “XBTO,” a significant step in the airline’s strategic expansion and its commitment to delivering reliable, premium air service between Bermuda and key North American destinations.
The aircraft, a modern Embraer E190, will bolster BermudAir’s fleet by increasing capacity, supporting frequency growth, and critically, enhancing operational flexibility and network resiliency.
With the addition of this fourth aircraft, BermudAir will be better positioned to maintain schedule integrity, provide reliable back-up during maintenance or weather-related disruptions, and respond to surges in demand—especially during peak travel periods.
The new aircraft is leased through Azorra, a global aircraft leasing firm with deep experience in the Embraer fleet family. The ongoing partnership between BermudAir and Azorra reflects a shared commitment to safe, efficient, and sustainable fleet growth.
Adam Scott, founder and CEO of BermudAir said: “The arrival of our fourth aircraft represents more than just expansion—it’s about strengthening the backbone of our operations.
“With this E190, we’re building in the resiliency and flexibility needed to deliver the high reliability and comfort our passengers expect.
“We’re also proud to once again work with Azorra and to recognise XBTO, one of our earliest and most valued partners.”
Named “XBTO,” the aircraft pays tribute to XBTO Group, a global digital asset and financial services firm with strong ties to Bermuda.
XBTO has been a key supporter of BermudAir since its inception, sharing in the airline’s vision of elevating Bermuda’s global connectivity and economic reach.
Philippe Bekhazi, CEO of XBTO said: “We’re honoured to see the XBTO name take flight.
“This aircraft reflects our belief in Bermuda’s future and in strategic partnerships that drive long-term impact. BermudAir embodies that spirit, and we’re proud to support their continued growth.”
