Birmingham Airport has opened its fifth lounge for passengers – a second No1 Lounge called Clubrooms – which will complement the existing No1 Lounge at the airport opened in 2012.

No1 said it is the company’s most premium offering, which delivers a “first-class departure experience for any passenger, regardless of airline or class of travel”.

Designed in the style of a modern members’ club, the Clubrooms offers full table service, à la carte dining, wines, classic cocktails as well as runway views. The collection of spacious, interconnecting rooms is available to guests aged 12 years and over, and it is located on the main concourse, nearest to most of the departure gates.

Entry is £35 for a stay of up to three hours pre-flight. Guest can also upgrade their visit with Moët & Chandon or Veuve Clicquot champagne packages for an additional £15, when booking online.

The existing No1 lounge is located in the Departure Lounge. Swissport operates two Aspire lounges. The main Aspire Lounge is located near the exit of World Duty Free and Aspire Lounge [South] is in the Gates 1-20 area.

The fifth lounge on offer at the airport is the Emirates Lounge – an Executive Lounge for First Class traveller, Business Class travellers or Skywards Gold members, located near gates 40-68.

No1 Lounges founder and chief executive officer, Phil Cameron said: “Our existing lounge has proven to be extremely popular with business and leisure travellers alike, so it was a natural step for us to open a second lounge at the airport, offering greater choice, and an even more refined and memorable experience to our guests – all for a price that represents great value for our guests.

“This opening is part of a major expansion programme for No1, bringing more lounge choices and availability to airports across the UK and beyond.”

Birmingham Airport acting commercial director, Richard Gill said: “Customer service is a top priority for us. We have already invested significantly into the Airport’s facilities and will continue to do so, to ensure our customers have a great experience when travelling with us. Customers desiring a premium airport experience now have the Clubrooms as an additional lounge to choose from.”
