Cathay Pacific is offering new ‘exciting’ offers to customers less than a year after the Hong Kong-based airline revealed a data breach that stands as the worst data hack ever at an airline.

Better services on board and improved entertainment and in-flight dining are some of the touted developments that the airline is promising, according to Bloomberg.

As the report notes, chairman, John Slosar stated as a panel meeting earlier this week in Hong Kong that “we understand that people are disappointed and upset by this event.

We want to make some particularly exciting offers that people can take advantage of going forward.”

Cathay Pacific revealed a data breach in March earlier this year that was one of the largest hacks in history affecting personal details and information of 9.4m passengers.

The airline now faces lawmakers and others who require answers to questions regarding security and safety.
