Cathay Pacific to start new Seattle route

Cathay Pacific will start a new four-weekly route to Seattle from Hong Kong on 31 March 2019 – its eighth US connection and 10th in North America.

The service will be operated by an Airbus A350-900 and it adds to links already run to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York (JFK), New York (Newark), San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver and a new service service to Washington DC from 15 September 2018.

Cathay Pacific chief executive officer Rupert Hogg said the new route underscores the airline’s expansion strategy to connect new destinations not otherwise served from Hong Kong.

The carrier has launched nine new destinations this year.
