Dnata and Amadeus have signed a new agreement aiming to develop new technologies via the cloud as well as maintain current ones.

The deal will see dnata access Amadeus’ cloud platform for airport operations in order to enhance processes and reduce costs on a global basis.

Amadeus will also continue to power the air service provider’s centralised load control service for airlines at Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Centre.

As part of the new partnership, ground handlers will continue to rely on Amadeus’ Altéa Departure Control System for Ground Handlers to provide services to passengers; as well as weight and balance services to a variety of airlines at some of the 120 plus airports where dnata operates.

Dnata senior vice president, airline services Jaffar Dawood said: “We are committed to investing in leading technologies to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency across our operations.

“We are confident that Amadeus’ innovative solution will help us continue to provide best-in-class services to our customers. We look forward to continuing our successful cooperation with Amadeus.”

Amadeus vice president airport IT, EMEA Yannick Beunardeau added: “dnata and Amadeus have enjoyed a longstanding, successful partnership.

“Our renewed agreement will enable dnata to unlock savings across its global operations network with Amadeus’ efficient and simplified technology.

“We are committed to helping dnata apply cloud-based solutions in more areas of its business as part of its drive to serve its airline and airport partners more flexibly.”
