Drukair to connect Guwahati to Singapore

Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines will launch its inaugural route from Guwahati in the northeast Indian state of Assam to Singapore on 1 September.

The service will be the only international flight that connects Paro via Guwahati to Singapore and is part of an existing air service agreement signed between the two governments.

Drukair is the flag carrier of the Eastern Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan and currently operates two flights via Guwahati to Bangkok.

In April, Airbus announced the carrier had signed a purchase agreement for one A320neo to support its growth plans and complement its existing fleet of three A319s.

Aside from Singapore and Bangkok, Drukair also operates routes to Kathmandu, Delhi and, Calcutta and seasonal services to Dhaka, and Gaya and Bagdora in India.
