Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) has appointed Dee Thomas as its new Director of Operations.

Dee joined DSA at the start of the year having relocated from Kent where she worked for Wilson James, suppliers of security, logistics and business support, where she was the Director of Aviation.  In her role she was responsible for the strategic leadership ensuring high performing teams delivered safe and effective services for their clients.

Dee Thomas, Director of Operations at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: “I’m delighted to join the team at DSA at such an exciting time.  It has real ambitions for growth through its passenger numbers, increased destinations as well as its thriving cargo business.  A key focus for me and my team will be how we manage this in a respectful and sustainable manner

DSA has impressed me with its commitment to encouraging more women to work in the aviation industry and I am very proud to support its drive to encourage more females to consider this as a career option.  I’m very happy to be here and my family and I are thrilled by the wonderful warm Yorkshire welcome we have received.

Robert Hough CBE, Chairman of Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: “We are delighted to welcome Dee to the team, where she will oversee operations including sustainability, compliance, passenger services and terminal operations.  She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position and is already delivering great results.  Dee is a positive role model in our drive to encourage more women to consider a career in aviation.”
