easyJet's shares rise as it enjoys increased revenues

easyJet’s shares climbed 5.1% recently after the airline both recorded an increase in revenues and began operations under a new boss, Johan Lundgren.

Revenues at the low-cost carrier jumped nearly 15% to over a billion GBP at the end of last year. Lower growth rates from rival airlines is said to have contributed.

Johan Lundgren was recently appointed CEO as Carolyn McCall left to head ITV.
