Emirates resumes flights for Brisbane route for the first time since the pandemic

Emirates recently resumed daily A380 flights on its Brisbane route for the first time since the start of the pandemic in 2020.

The flight, Emirates EK430 departs Dubai daily at 02:30 landing in Brisbane at 22:20. The return flight EK431 departs Brisbane at 20:57, arriving in Dubai at 04:52.

In recognition of this opening up of international travel, Emirates and Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) have partnered to promote the city and its extensive range of opportunities for tourists and business travellers alike.

Emirates is focusing on bringing back the rest of its network based on easing of restrictions in certain countries, and other operational factors. It has recovered more than 90% of the network globally.

The airline is gradually expanding the deployment of the A380 in line with demand and operational approvals and has now many destinations served by the flagship aircraft on a scheduled basis.

Richard Jewsbury, Emirates Vice President for the UK said: “Emirates is proud to have served Brisbane for almost 20 years, helping millions of people visit the city and beyond while connecting travellers and businesses with our global network.

“We’re delighted to be celebrating our relationship with the region by re-introducing our flagship A380 product. Brisbane is a hugely diverse region that is popular year-round.”

Brisbane Economic Development Agency Chief Executive Officer Anthony Ryan said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Emirates to showcase Brisbane to the world.

“Brisbane has evolved to become a contemporary global city with diverse tourism experiences that reflect our lifestyle, personality, and natural beauty.

“As Australia’s nature capital, Brisbane is home to native wildlife and some of the world’s largest sand island and ancient rainforests.

“Together with new luxury hotels, world-class dining, major sports events and award-winning indigenous cultural experiences, Brisbane embodies the best of Australia and we’re excited to be welcome visitors to the region.”
