Emirates will start a new year-round daily route to Auckland Airport from Dubai International Airport via Bali in Indonesia from 15 June this year.
The carrier will utilise a Boeing 777-300 on the service and it will operate in addition to Emirates daily Auckland to Dubai direct Airbus A380 service.
The new flight will continue from Bali to Dubai, the global hub of Emirates where it will connect into the airline’s vast network including its 40 European services.
Auckland Airport’s general manager for aeronautical commercial, Scott Tasker said the announcement is great news for New Zealand and will add more than 250,000 seats to the route.
The new service will also provide 20 tonnes of cargo capacity between New Zealand, Bali and Dubai.
