Ethiopian Airlines Offers Promotional Fares to Celebrate Manchester Anniversary

Ethiopian Airlines, the Largest Aviation Group in Africa and SKYTRAX Certified Four Star Global Airline is celebrating its one-year anniversary of flying from Manchester Airport by launching some special anniversary fares. Manchester is the airlines second UK destination providing a four times a week service connecting the north of England to over 60 destinations across Africa.

The popular Manchester to Addis Ababa service celebrates 12 months of operation on 12th December and the airline are offering 12% discount on fares purchased during their anniversary on 10-12th December for travel to a selection of top destinations between 10th January to 30th March and 15th April to 20th June 2020. Destinations include Addis Ababa, Cape Town, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Seychelles and Zanzibar.

The Ethiopian route opened a huge number of destinations for passengers from Manchester and the north of England, connecting from its Addis Ababa hub to many popular business locations and leisure routes such as Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa.

The Manchester service has proved extremely popular flying over 17,500 passengers on its ultramodern Boeing 787 Dreamliner during its first year of operation. Ethiopian flies to more destinations in Africa than any other carrier and operates an excellent value lie-flat business class option as well as a spacious economy class.

Ethiopian Airlines, UK Country Manager Michael Yohannes said, “We are excited to be celebrating a successful one year of service from Manchester on 12th December.  Along with the ten existing flights from Heathrow, our Manchester service makes Africa even more accessible for our valued UK customers. Passengers have been enjoying our convenient onward connections from Addis Ababa and the on-board comfort of our Boeing 787 Dreamliner along of course with our traditional Ethiopian hospitality.”

The airline is marking the anniversary of this service by hosting a celebration in the terminal on the afternoon of the 12th December before the anniversary flight departs at 1810. There will also be celebrations at the departure gate providing traditional Ethiopian hospitality and commemorative gifts for passengers. There will be the opportunity to take part in a draw where one lucky passenger seat number will be given a free upgrade to enjoy business class on the flight to Addis Ababa.
