An executive at Etihad Airways is determined to break the record for flying around the globe in the shortest time possible using scheduled flights.

Andrew Fisher, Vice President of Fleet Planning, will aim to complete the trip in 52 hours, completing the trip in four sectors and beating the previous record of 55 hours.

Leaving from Shanghai, the exec will travel to Auckland, Buenos Aires and Amsterdam before returning to China just over two days later.
