Fiji Airways has appointed Heston MRO to provide line maintenance support at Cairns Airport, further strengthening the airline’s growing international operations.
Under the agreement, Heston MRO will conduct transit and daily checks for Fiji Airways’ Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 737-800 aircraft, as well as unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and aircraft on ground (AOG) services.
As Australia’s largest independent MRO provider, Heston MRO already services over 40% of international flights at Australian airports.
Its new Cairns operation, set to be fully operational by mid-April, will join its existing network of line stations across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Canberra, solidifying its role as Fiji Airways’ exclusive maintenance provider in Australia.
