Flybe ups frequency of Birmingham-Hamburg route

Flybe has upped a route from Birmingham Airport to Hamburg Airport from four to six flights a week – the same day it celebrated one-year since the service started.

The route is the only one serving the German city from the Midlands hub and it was welcomed by the airport’s acting aviation director, Tom Screen.

He said: “The popular route has a strong demand from business and leisure travellers from the Midlands and with six flights a week the airline gives passengers from our region a great product and an extensive route network.”

Flybe’s chief commercial officer, Roy Kinnear added the route has gone from “strength to strength” and it has increased frequency to match demand.
