Flybondi continues its expansion in South America

Argentinian ultra low-cost carrier Flybondi has continued its expansion in the South American region after starting the administrative, contractual and regulatory process to start operations in Brazil.

The airline only started international operations in December 2018 to Paraguay and Uruguay.

On Friday, 15 February, the company received the authorisation of legal operation from the aeronautical authority of Brazil – ANAC (National Agency of Civil Aviation) – which is the first step necessary to continue the process.

Flybondi has more than 60 routes granted to fly to Brazil and said it is in the analysis stage of decicing which it will start first in the course of 2019.

The airline started flying in Argentina at the beginning of 2018 and already has an eight per cent market share and on 15 February it reached the one million passengers flown milestone.

Flybondi operates a fleet of seven Boeing 737-800s and has bases in Buenos Aires and Cordoba.
