His Majesty King Abdullah II inaugurates Joramco’s Hangar 7 at Queen Alia International Airport

Joramco has welcomed His Majesty King Abdullah II as he inaugurated Joramco’s new Hangar 7 at Queen Alia International Airport.

During the visit, His Majesty was briefed by Jeff Wilkinson, CEO of DAE Engineering, on Joramco’s maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, which currently serve more than 60 international airlines.

The new hangar covers a total area of 12,000 square meters and was built with an investment of USD 30 million. The facility is designed to increase Joramco’s annual capacity to handle up to 240 aircraft of various sizes.

Joramco’s facilities now extend over 257,000 square meters, comprising six hangars, 22 maintenance lines, and 10 workshops.

The briefing also highlighted the role of Joramco Academy, a specialized training centre offering a comprehensive four-year program in aircraft maintenance engineering—two years of academic study followed by two years of practical training.

This unique structure ensures that graduates are not only equipped with strong theoretical knowledge but also hands-on industry experience, preparing them to seamlessly transition into the aviation sector upon completion.
