Indian airport authority terminates license for ground handling services

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced it will terminate the license for ground handling services at a number of airports in the country after new rules are to be drafted about such services.

New rules were put forth by civil aviation authority two months ago, with the AAI deciding to cancel existing licenses in favour of fresh ones.

The AAI has stated that the termination will level the playing field for ground service providers and allow fresh tenders to be induced.
