Jobs lost at Shetland airport as Flybe withdraw

A number of jobs have been lost at Shetland’s Sumburgh airport after Eastern Air confirmed Flybe’s departure of business from the airport.

The small airport on the Shetland Island operated flights via Flybe to connecting locations such as Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

It was reported that 13 jobs would be lost because of Flybe’s withdrawal.
