Joon takes-off giving a boost to embattled Air France

Joon – a new low-cost subsidiary of Air France – has made its first flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport to Mahé in the Seychelles.

The launch is a boost for the embattled French airline and the inaugural service was made on Saturday 5 May utilising an Airbus A340. It will fly three times a week to Mahé.

Other long-haul routes Joon will be flying to from Paris CDG include Fortaleza (Brazil) twice a week and three times a week in the winter, and a daily service to Cairo (Egypt).

Joon will also operate three weekly flights to Cape Town (South Africa), three flights a week to Tehran (Iran) and one daily flight to Mumbai (India) from 18 June.

Joon’s network for short-haul routes from Paris CDG includes to Berlin, Barcelona, Budapest, Lisbon, Rome, Naples, Oslo, Bergen and Istanbul.
