Key players to attend the first AGS Global Networking Summit in London

Key ground handling decision-makers will meet to discuss pertinent industry issues at the first AGS Global Networking Summit in London from 19-21 September.

The general consensus in the ground handling sector is that there needs to be a more wider and balanced view which accommodates all stakeholders and leads to a profitable industry for all companies while ensuring long-term economic success for all parties.

A plenary session on Thursday, 20 September moderated by former International Air Transport Association (IATA) global head of cargo, Des Vertannes will seek to delve into this debate.

He will be joined at the Heathrow Marriott Hotel by a stellar panel including American Airlines director of airport purchasing, procurement and supply chain Mike Garland; TUI Aviation head of ground operations, Dieter Bruneel; Airport Terminal Service vice president of sales and business development, Ingrid Braeuninger; and Aviator Airport Alliance chief executive officer, Jo Alex Tanem.

The AGS Global Networking Summit will kick-off on Wednesday, 19 September with a welcome reception, giving delegates the opportunity to network and discuss business.

After the plenary session taking place from 9-11am on Thursday, 20 September, there will be extensive time for one-to-one meetings between stakeholders along with a lunch and refreshment for networking.

A networking dinner will then take place in the evening at the Heathrow Marriott Hotel in the Lindbergh Suite where delegates can once again discuss business and air their thoughts and relax over dinner and drinks.

The final day on Friday, 21 September will give delegates the opportunity to hold more one-to-one meetings and network in the refreshment breaks and lunch, before it comes to a close at 17:00h.

Among the airlines that have confirmed their attendance are Aegean Airlines, Air Astana, Air France-KLM, Air India, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, easyJet, Finnair, China Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Oman Air, Gulf Air and more.
