The LAS Group and its JV partner Goldair Handling Greece have signed a letter of intent with the Airports Authority of India to begin ground handling services for airlines and chartered flight operators at Udaipur International Airport.

The agreement was signed for a ten-year term as the airport’s only privately held ground handling company.

According to spokeswoman (Burzin Manek Daver), LAS GOLDAIR HANDLING will provide terminal, ramp, and cargo handling services to major local and international airlines operating out of Udaipur airport.

This airport has a lot of growth potential because of its location, which caters to tourists. It also has a lot of chartered flight operations that will use LAS GOLDAIR’s services.

Burzin Daver further added that the JV Company will invest roughly Rs 15 crore to induct state-of-the-art international standard Ground Service Equipment and will focus on employee training to provide exceptional handling services to all of its customers.

Handling by Goldair With over 4000 employees, Greece is the largest ground handler in Greece, providing ground handling to all major airlines at 32 airports across the country. They also handle airports in Zurich and other European cities, so their international experience and technology platforms will benefit Indian airports.

Because Udaipur is a popular wedding destination, the airport receives a high volume of chartered flights during peak season. In addition to ground handling, LAS will provide premium services to incoming charters such as meet and greet, car rental, and porter services, ensuring a memorable passenger experience in Udaipur.

LAS, together with its crew and ground handling equipment, will begin operations in Udaipur on April 1, 2022.
