LATAM Airlines will become the first and only carrier to operate flights between Israel and Latin America when it starts a Tel Aviv-São Paulo-Santiago de Chile service in December this year.
The service will be operated three times a week utilising a Boeing 787 aircraft.
LATAM Airlines Brazil chief executive officer, Jerome Cadier said “This is a unique service for passengers across much of Latin America. No other airline connects Latin America with Israel. Travellers from Israel, for example, will now be able to travel with ease to to Brazil, Argentina and Chile with this new flight.”
LATAM Airlines said it continues to evaluate and develop new routes in order to meet with passenger needs. In 2017, the carrier inaugurated 13 new international routes.
For 2018, the airline has announced a further 14 international routes, including flights to Rome, which began in March as well as new operations to Las Vegas (June), and Boston (July).
