Latvian airline airBaltic is to restart a twice-weekly Airbus A220-300 route from Riga to the French city of Nice in the upcoming winter season.
The carrier will operate the service from 30 October to 8 January 2019 and then from 1-30 March 2019. It will also start a four-weekly route from Riga to Abu Dhbai from 28 October to 29 March 2019.
Twice-weekly links to from Riga to Lisbon, Madrid and Malaga which are already operating, will continue to run in the winter season.
airBaltic senior vice president of network management, Wolfgang Reuss said: “We are happy to offer our passengers convenient connection between Riga and Nice also in winter season. This winter we will also continue flights from Riga to Malaga, Madrid, Abu Dhabi and Lisbon.”
The airline now serves over 70 destinations from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius, and in summer 2018, it introduced eight new destinations from Riga to Malaga, Lisbon, Split, Bordeaux, Gdansk, Almaty as well as Sochi and Kaliningrad. In addition, airBaltic launched a new direct route connecting Tallinn and London.
