Lufthansa is further expanding its route network to the USA and Asia after it launched services from Frankfurt to Austin and Munich to Bangkok.
Austin will start on 3 May 2019 and it wil be the German’s carrier’s third destination in Texas alongside Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston. An Airbus A330-300 will be in service five times a week on the route.
The Bangkok connection is part of Lufthansa’s strategy to continue to develop Munich into an Asia hub and it will utilise a new Airbus A350-900 on the daily link from 1 June 2019.
The Lufthansa Group, which also includes Austrian Airlines and Swiss Interational Air Lines has in the last week outlined its plans to optimise the four hubs of its network airlines.
