Malaysia to pay private salvage firm up to $70 million to find MH370

The Malaysian government has announced this week that it will give the task of finding downed airliner MH370 to a private salvage firm based in the US.

Ocean Infinity, based in Houston, are set to accomplish the task of finding the aircraft, which went missing over the Indian Ocean back in 2014.

The salvage team are set to scour a designated area of 25,000 square KM. The search is due to last 90 days.

The company will reportedly be paid up to $70 million if the wreckage of the plane is found.
