Menzies Aviation has welcomed back the Scottish-based carrier Loganair back into their portfolio and has been awarded a new ground handling contract at Manchester Airport.

Menzies will deliver ground handling services to the Scottish regional airline’s fleet up until July 2022, which will see the handler look after six flights a day, adding to a total of 1,728 flights per annum.

The contract win has also been able to offer employment to some new colleagues at Manchester where it already provides ground handling, cabin presentation and de-icing services to a number of other airlines.

Menzies Aviation CEO, Giles Wilson said: “It is a testament to the great work of Menzies employees in Manchester that Loganair have awarded us this three year ground handling contract.

“The team on the ground worked tirelessly hard to deliver a start-up service for Loganair with limited notice, and we are extremely proud of our employees for being so responsive to a new customer’s needs. I look forward to building on our relationship with Loganair.”
