Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport is growing its route network and has announced 20 new flights will be operated by airlines in this year’s Spring and summer season.
Aegean Airlines, Armenia Airlines, easyJet, HOP!, Transavia, Sun Express and Volotea are between them adding 20 new flights from Lyon, including eight new destinations.
Aegean will fly from Rhodes once a week from 8 April, Armenia from Yerevan twice a week from 19 April, and easyJet from Lyon to Fuerteventura twice a week from 26 March, Rennes four times a week from 26 March, Tel Aviv three times a week from 29 March and Corfu once a week from 30 June.
From 2 June, HOP! will fly to Ajaccio – initially twice a week before upping it to four times a week, to Bastia twice a week from 2 June, to Calvi once a week and then twice a week from 7 April and Figari once a week from 19 May.
Transavia will from April fly twice-weekly services to Palermo, Catania, Djerba and Malaga from Lyon.
Sun Express will fly to Antalya once a week from 9 April and to Izmir once a week from 18 June.
Volotea will fly once a week to Cagliari from 31 May, twice a week to Palermo from 6 April, Alicante twice a week from 8 April and Palma once a week from 7 April.
These are in addition to the opening of a direct route with XL Airways from Lyon to Pointe à Pitre from 1 January to 19 March 2018.
Finnair will also open a Lyon-Helsinki route on the 11 December, with a frequency of two times a week.
