Munich Airport’s summer 2025 flight schedule will begin on Sunday 30 March for around 30 weeks until Sunday 26 October.

During the summer season 73 airlines will operate more than 214,000 flights to 216 destinations in 68 countries from the German hub – and many are expanding their services to include a number of new locations.

Cathay Pacific will connect Munich with the business metropolis of Hong Kong four times a week via its fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft.

Discover Airlines opened a new long-haul base in Munich at the beginning of March and will serve Orlando, Windhoek and Calgary three times a week with Airbus A330 aircraft during the summer period.

Meanwhile Lufthansa will base all eight Airbus A380 aircraft at Munich. The fleet will operate daily services to Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Washington and Delhi – and Denver will be added to the A380 route network from 30 April.

The German flag carrier will also increase the number of flights to Bangalore from three to five every week and to San Diego from five times a week to a daily connection.

Tromsø in northern Norway, which is served every Saturday lunchtime, will also be offered in the summer flight schedule for the first time.

Connections to the Far East are growing too: Vietnam Airlines is increasing its frequency to Hanoi from two to three flights per week from July and will continue to offer twice-weekly connections to Ho Chi Minh City.

EVA Air is also modernising its Boeing B787 fleet and from 17 May will fly non-stop from Munich to Taipei in a three-class configuration with Business, Economy and Premium Economy – the airline’s first global long-haul service with this cabin configuration.

Etihad Airways will operate two flights daily to Abu Dhabi with the most modern aircraft in the Boeing family on the new schedule from May.

And SCAT will fly three times a week to Shymkent in southern Kazakhstan from the end of May, making it the third airline to connect Munich with Central Asia.

The European route network is also expanding: easyJet will fly twice daily to Rome-Fiumicino and, from 30 March, ITA will serve Milan-Linate from Terminal 2 with the same frequency.

At the end of May, charter airlines Lumiwings and Universal Air will take off for the holiday destinations of Foggia and Rimini.

Also in May, the Italian airline SkyAlps will connect Munich with Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina twice a week.

Transavia France will fly to Paris-Orly three times a week from the beginning of April and SAS will increase frequency to Copenhagen from one to two daily flights.

And Pegasus Airlines will increase frequency to Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen from 14 to up to 25 weekly flights.

Discover will also offer connections to Bodø in Norway, Keflavik in Iceland, Marrakesh in Morocco and Funchal on the island of Madeira, among others.

From 30 March, Condor will offer more flexibility for business travellers with daily morning and evening flights between Munich and Frankfurt.

In total, the airline will operate up to 120 departures per week – especially to popular beach holiday destinations such as the Greek islands and the Canary Islands.
