The new head of easyJet, Johan Lundgren, has reportedly taken a voluntary pay cut to match the salary of previous CEO, Carolyn McCall.
Lundgren assumed the position of easyJet boss at the beginning of December 2018 and will now be paid an annual salary of £706,000 instead of the £740,000 originally offered.
The salary matches that of McCall’s during the end of her tenure.
McCall left at the end of 2017 to head programming at ITV Studios.
easyJet and Lundgren said that the decision was made in order to reinforces easyJet’s commitment to equality, particularly that of equal pay.
