Norwegian and its subsidiary Widerøe recorded a total of 1.9 million passengers in March 2025, as both airlines increased their capacity compared to the same period last year.

Norwegian carried 1,587,550 passengers, while Widerøe served 328,385. Capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometres (ASK), grew 13% for Norwegian and 9% for Widerøe.

Despite the increase in capacity and the impact of Easter holidays falling in March, Norwegian’s load factor stood at 81.1%, while Widerøe’s load factor saw a slight rise to 70.7%.

Punctuality remained strong, with 88.1% of Norwegian flights and 80.7% of Widerøe flights departing within 15 minutes of their scheduled times.

Flight regularity, measuring the percentage of scheduled flights that operated, was 99.4% for Norwegian and 95.5% for Widerøe.

With the start of April, Norwegian has officially launched its summer 2025 programme, offering 350 routes, including 19 new destinations.

Geir Karlsen said: “Our summer programme swings into action this week, featuring 129 exciting destinations across Europe and beyond.

“Initial bookings for summer travel are strong, and we are looking forward to flying all our customers to their destinations. We advise any customers with set holiday dates to book early.”

The airline also recently finalised the purchase of ten Boeing 737-800 aircraft, securing additional fleet capacity to support future growth.

Norwegian’s most popular destinations in March included:

  • London
  • Malaga
  • Alicante
  • Las Palmas
  • Barcelona

With strong operational performance and high demand, Norwegian is gearing up for a busy summer season across Europe.
